After just a little more than a year in business, Zetta Medical Technologies LLC is certainly living up to its name. This Chicago-area-based medical imaging and service provider – whose mathematical-inspired name translates into “1021” – has made what amounts to a quantum leap in terms of growth, quality and enhanced customer offerings.

Since last September, Zetta has increased its staff roster by nearly 30 percent, including the addition of two new – and highly experienced – engineers that allow Zetta to cover a wider geographical area and service more systems in less time; another technician to assist with customers’ equipment relocation needs; and a dedicated parts sales specialist who can promptly address customers’ parts-related requests, from the time the initial call comes in all the way through the point of sale and beyond.

Aside from a growing staff roster, Zetta Medical is also experiencing a burgeoning business footprint. At the end of August, the company will move from its current 5,000 square foot business space to one nearly three times the size. Given Zetta’s exponential growth, the new-and-improved, high-tech and high-visibility building will better suit the company’s need for additional warehouse and refurbishing space.
 
“I’ve always believed that if you really want to know who you’re doing business with, you should go to their ‘home’ and see it firsthand,” noted Ghazal. “We are proud of our home and what Zetta stands for, and we want customers and potential customers to visit us and see what we’re all about.” The new facility will certainly facilitate such a visit. Of the nearly 15,000 square feet, between 10,000 and 11,000 of that will be assigned as warehouse space, allowing the company to work with new (and substantially more) systems than it had in the past, and creating much-needed space for its ever-expanding inventory, which has, at minimum, tripled over the past year. Soaring, 24-foot ceilings will further serve to maximize storage space, and the extra square footage will also afford Zetta Medical the opportunity to store magnets for its customers, keeping them cold and on power at all times.
 
The new facility will also allow Zetta Medical to bring in mobile systems and perform complete system upgrades and repairs in a safe, well-appointed indoor environment – a real advantage given the company’s Illinois location, which is subjected to harsh winters.
 
“With the new building, we will also be adding refurbishment bays so customers can see the system, play with it, and basically ‘kick the tires’ to get a feel for it before buying it,” added Ghazal. He pointed out that Zetta Medical is also looking to tie up some strategic business relationships with a number of national customers to extend its maintenance service and establish a truly nationwide presence.
 
While the continued growth and new developments are undoubtedly exciting for the Zetta Medical team, it’s important that customers realize they will still be treated to the same high quality products, service and attention to detail that they have come to expect from this medical imaging leader.
