Mobile X-Ray Solutions
to the rescue!
Mobile X-Ray Solutions Inc., which got its start in 1989 following years of intensive research with radiology directors, biomedical technicians, and clinical and field engineers, has become the source for GE’s AMX line of portable x-ray machines. The research – aimed at determining what professionals considered to be the ideal set of circumstances under which they could streamline work processes, reduce maintenance issues and eliminate downtime with their AMX portables – culminated in the development of well-designed, intelligent solutions that can truly fulfill the users’ various AMX requirements.
Today, MSX’ solutions portfolio is quite extensive, encompassing rebuilt and upgraded portables; Signature Series© AMX-4 Plus portables; Canon Portable DR System retrofits; S.W.A.P Program; both new and rebuilt original equipment manufacturer parts; preventive maintenance package; first aid kits; technical training and support; rentals and loaners, and the Digital Key Pad, a programmable key pad that replaces the key.
Because MXS specializes solely in AMX portables, the company is able to fully focus on its core competency, which is eliminating equipment downtime and maintenance issues, while providing exemplary customer service and satisfaction. Put simply, it’s about doing one thing exceptionally well, as opposed to focusing on a wide range of equipment modalities, but then lacking the confidence and expertise to offer the highest level of service and support. With 18 years of experience in the field, customers can be confident that MXS truly knows each and every model in the AMX portable x-ray line and is committed to standing 100 percent behind its work.
“When you purchase equipment from MXS, you’re not just buying a portable x-ray machine. You’re buying years of knowledge and experience from a company that’s been built on quality, integrity and total customer satisfaction,” said MXS founder Bill Bentley.
The company’s highly-qualified, dedicated staff and commitment to the highest level of quality service and support is at the root of its enduring success and is what has given MXS legions of loyal customers. Staff members include certified engineers and technicians who possess extensive knowledge and experience in rebuilding GE AMX portable x-ray machines ranging from the CMX to the AMX 4 Plus models.
Also at the root of MXS’ success is its well-equipped 12,600 square-foot facility, located in Augusta, GA, which houses the latest, most cutting-edge test equipment in individual assembly stations where the various AMX components and parts are built and prepared for installation and sale. “We have added a state-of-the-art Technical Training facility for our AMX training classes,” noted Bentley, adding that MXS has also recently expanded its training program to include training on the AMX-110, AMX-II and AMX-III portables.
In keeping with its focus on eliminating down time, MXS stocks an extensive inventory of rebuilt AMX-4 Plus portables. Its S.W.A. P. program provides an unparalleled opportunity to trade an existing AMX 4 portable for a completely rebuilt/upgraded unit that includes all the features and functionality of the AMX-4 Plus, thus allowing customers to continue their normal operations, eliminate equipment shortages and downtime, and reduce freight costs. To further aid equipment support MXS offers a five-day, hands-on training course to meet users’ educational needs. MXS is also committed to fulfilling the need for a dependable, quality-driven portable supplier for independent service organizations and group purchasing organizations. Although portable x-ray machines represent a relatively small portion of the imaging equipment segment, they can nonetheless be a large drain on resources when they don’t function properly or are down completely.
To further maximize equipment uptime, MXS stocks an extensive inventory of AMX parts that cannot be found elsewhere. In fact, MXS has become so well known for its vast parts inventory that it is the source other suppliers come to for hard to find items. Customers can realize dramatic savings with new or rebuilt OEM parts and MXS also offers rental units, which are available for long- or short-term leasing. Loaner units are also available to customers whose portables are being rebuilt by MXS.
Digital Developments
With the steady growth in digital imaging, Mobile X-Ray Solutions is prepared to offer its customers digital capability with the AMX portable. According to Bentley,
MXS’ portables can now be purchased completely ‘’digital ready,’’ which means the units will be built with the digital components of the portable already in place and will need only to have the plates and applications installed by a member of our established dealer network.
“This allows MXS to significantly reduce both delivery and turnaround times on this indispensable and often critical piece of equipment.”
Despite these developments, MXS’ underlying goal remains the same: to provide solutions for biomedical staff when they encounter problems, such as specification issues, error codes, and any other difficult-to-solve challenges related to the effective use of their AMX portables.
MXS has the solutions needed to help customers resolve their problems, and with its 24-hour, 7 days a week availability, customers can rest assured that their AMX portables will be up and running optimally in no time. “It is our belief that a unit should never be down for more than 24 hours,” Bentley stressed. “Our purpose is to provide solutions to meet that goal.”
