KOPP DEVELOPMENT Inc. designs and manufactures ferromagnetic detection systems for MRI Safety. The products include FERRALERT ENTRY and FERRALERT PRESCREEN. FERRALERT ENTRY reduces the risk of ferromagnetic projectiles from entering the magnet. The device is installed unobtrusively on the entry door of the room containing the magnet. FERRALERT PRESCREEN prescreens patients and personnel for the presence of small ferromagnetic objects to increase patient throughput and to avoid potential misdiagnosis. Both products are passive and emit no RF. Therefore, FERRALERT will not interfere with any other devices or the imaging process.
