Lase'R Ventures, Inc.
1. How did Lase'R Ventures get started?
'R Ventures Medical has been established in pre-owned
medical equipment sales for the past twelve years. About
eight years ago Robin Santana, President of 'R Ventures
Medical, discovered a "niche" in the marketplace
for pre-owned laser sales and decided to develop her expertise
in learning all there is to know about various wave-lengths
and applications for laser use.
Understanding the volatility of laser technology and often
rapid declines in values of this capital equipment, Robin
became more aware that futuristically, hospitals, surgery
centers and doctors would prefer to rent lasers on an
"as-needed" basis versus making the capital
investment. Furthermore, facilities that did not have
funds or budgets to purchase laser equipment, would be
able to offer procedures to their doctors and community
that otherwise would not be possible. Therefore, Lase'R
Ventures, Inc. was formed in early 2002.
"Who" is Lase'R Ventures, Inc.?
Robin Santana is founder and CEO of the company. She recognized
that experienced personnel was a key factor in developing
Lase'R Ventures into a company with her desire for high
quality standards and ethics.
John Godson is National Sales and Marketing Director.
Formerly, John worked his way up from laser technician
to become one of three Regional Sales Managers for California's
largest laser rental company. John later expanded that
territory to Arizona and Nevada. Lase'R Ventures is proud
to have John on staff with his expertise in operating,
training and facilitating laser rentals for the past thirteen
years.
Jeff Scott is Territory Manager in Arizona. Jeff has over
thirteen years experience in recruiting, training and
supervising laser technicians. He has consulted and aided
hospital administrators in creating their laser programs
and is certified to train physicians and hospital staff
on new laser procedures and safety. Jeff has consulted
with many major laser manufacturers in the development
and testing of new laser technology and surgical instrumentation
before being introduced to the marketplace.
Don Pearcy is Territory Manager in Texas. Prior to his
position with Lase'R Ventures, Don single-handedly built
the Texas market without much outside support. Due to
his work ethic and experience, he has a loyal following
of many hospitals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Don has
more than four years experience in the laser rental business
and has performed as laser technician in many procedures.
Many physicians and O.R. staff trusts Don's expertise
in laser technology. Josh Griffin is lead laser technician
in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and has been recognized by
many facilities for his dependability and professionalism
in working with the O.R. staff and in the surgical environment.
Both Don and Josh are trained to operate various wave-lengths
and can assist in training surgical staff, as needed.
Philip Allen is lead laser technician with an engineering
background. Phil has more than twenty years in the ophthalmology
arena, with the past seven years experience in laser technology.
Becky Lamb is aesthetic laser technician in Georgia offering
non-invasive aesthetic technology to doctor's offices
in the greater Atlanta area.
Lase'R Ventures’ staff includes managers, laser
technicians, sales and corporate office personnel and
is currently expanding as growth demands.
2. How does Lase'R Ventures differ from 'R Ventures
Medical?
'R Ventures Medical continues to focus its sales of ALL
types of pre-owned medical equipment, such as diagnostic,
radiology, respiratory and endoscopy equipment, as it
has in the past. Lase'R Ventures specifically provides
ALL laser services; rentals, sales and purchasing of laser
equipment. Former laser customers can still call Robin,
"the laser lady" at Lase'R Ventures.
3. What type of competition is currently in the
marketplace?
"There are a number of small companies within our
markets. We feel the markets have been under served, if
you will. We feel we can benefit each market with our
services," explains John Godson.
4. What separates Lase'R Ventures from its competitors?
Our management team, the level of experience and the most
current laser technology will distinguish Lase'R Ventures
with other competitors. "The company motto is we
deliver lasers, not promises," says Robin Santana,
CEO.
5. What are your primary markets?
Currently, Lase'R Ventures operates in Georgia, Texas
and Arizona. The corporate headquarters is located just
north of Atlanta, Georgia.
6. And future markets, what will they be?
Our future expansion will include Alabama, Tennessee,
New Mexico, Colorado and Oklahoma; with hopes of expanding
nationwide. The order in which we grow to these areas
depends on the demand. Lase'R Ventures will respond accordingly.
7. What products and services does Lase'R Ventures offer?
Lase'R Ventures will provide laser rentals to include,
but not limited to holmium, CO2, KTP, Indigo, Pulsed-dye,
long-pulsed Yag with various manufacturers of each. We
will provide fibers and other disposable products, training,
laser service contracts and laser sales.
8. Describe the rental side of the business plan:
Lase'R Ventures provides surgical and aesthetic laser
rentals to hospitals, surgery centers and doctor's offices.
Our services include the laser, laser technician, who
operates the laser and performs as laser safety officer,
protective eyewear, and any fibers or disposables for
the particular laser that's being rented. We provide a
centralized scheduling location in our corporate office
to ease surgical and office staff with this process. We
offer contractual pricing and customize each contract
to suit the facility's specific needs.
9. Who are your primary customers?
Hospitals, surgery centers and doctor's offices.
10. What are the major goals of the new company?
Lase'R Ventures is a company with strong ethical values
and is diligent in assuring its customers of high-quality
performance and services. With managed care becoming more
and more evident, our goal is to partner with hospitals,
surgery centers and doctors to establish a long-term relationship
by offering a cost effective approach to providing the
latest laser technology on an "as-needed" basis.
Facilities can rent the laser equipment they need until
their case loads justify a purchase. Then, Lase'R Ventures
can provide the sale of the laser equipment to the facility
from the company that they have come to know and trust.
Lase'R Ventures also purchases laser equipment that is
no longer being used. |
