Q When was
Oakworks established?
A Since 1977, Oakworks, Inc., has been committed
to providing safe, durable, comfortable and ergonomic equipment to all medical
market sectors that support the health and well-being of people all over the
globe.
Q Can you tell us
a bit about your facilities ?
A
Oakworks currently employs nearly 140 talented and committed men and women, in
a new 93,000 sq. foot facility located in south central PA. Oakworks is capable
of producing more than 250 superior quality, rigorously tested medical pieces
of equipment a day – equipment sold in all 50 US states and through a network
of distributors in 35 countries worldwide – equipment that has been the
industry favorite for medical imaging, medi-spa, massage therapy, physical
therapy and athletic training.
Q Specifically,
what products and services do you provide?
A Our
mission and vision is to be the manufacturer who truly encompasses the
equipment needs of the healthcare industry and its clients. In particular,
surgeons and technicians who demand very specific specs and capabilities for
their equipment including radio-lucency, Trendelenburg function,
C-Arm
compatibility, bariatric strength and superior patient access. Oakworks also
specializes in the manufacturer of face down recovery equipment for retinal
surgeries specifically for vitrectomy procedures.

A “Bodies
Talk and We Listen” is Oakworks official slogan. This fundamental practice has
allowed Oakworks to form long lasting relationships with many industry leaders
in a variety of market sectors who identify the application requirements and
needs for intuitive medical solutions. Our customer needs are met and exceeded
due to Oakworks commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous development
of cost-effective medical products. Oakworks listens to physicians, surgeons
and technicians worldwide in an effort to develop tables and positioning
devices that not only meet their application needs, but exceed their
requirements for comfort and overall value. This approach has expedited
Oakworks position to offer intuitive medical solutions for radiology/imaging,
pain management, orthopedics, ultrasound, bariatrics/large patient care and
general examination.
Q Any recently
expanded product and service offerings you would like to mention?
A Oakworks continues to expand its full line of
C-Arm imaging and fluoroscopy tables with the April 1, 2008 introduction of the
NEW Oakworks® CFPM400 C-Arm Imaging table. This new product incorporates
Oakworks brand reputation for high quality and reliability into our latest
addition to our expanding line of multi-functional fluoroscopy table products.
This new cost effective cantilevered low attenuation carbon fiber tabletop
design is ideal for procedures requiring stability, access and unobstructed
C-Arm positioning. The CFPM400 has all of the features required for successful
image-guided procedures for pain management, cardiovascular, spinal diagnostics
and interventions. Its height accommodates low height patient wheelchair
transfers to maximum height C-Arm mobility requirements for full lateral
imaging. The table is mounted on a new low profile base and can be easily moved
from room to room and secured with 4 locking casters.
Q Any plans for
further growth in the near future A New product development continues to be a very
important part of the success of Oakworks sales growth. The medical imaging
market sector provides ample opportunity for Oakworks to expand its product
offerings for ultrasound, podiatry, and bariatric patient care.
