system, featuring the new Q2 Plus
Monitor, is capable of calculating
both blood oxygen saturations
and cardiac output continuously
and features a large color-coded
screen, allowing clear communication
of data. The menu-driven format
allows access to an array of interactive
screens for ease of use. Hospira's
exclusive 3-wavelength SvO2 technology
provides accurate SvO2 readings
independent of varying hemoglobin
levels, eliminating the need for
clinical updates of the hemoglobin/hematocrit
values. With a push of a button,
cardiac output is determined automatically,
utilizing an advanced algorithm
that filters noise artifact, minimizing
