Surgical Supplies

Smith & Nephew
DYONICS® ARTHROPAK™ Customized Procedure Kits

The DYONICS® ARTHROPAK™ Customized Procedure Kits contain medical devices used in the most common arthroscopic procedures. The kits are designed to increase operational efficiencies and lower overall costs by helping to reduce the amount of time facility staff spend ordering and pulling supplies, such as cannulae, sterile tubing and arthroscopic resection blades for each procedure. Instead, the surgery center staff simply designates which supplies and devices the kits should contain. Each kit has its own SKU (product identifier) so when the time comes to replenish supplies, the purchasing staff can easily order a new kit instead of individual devices. They can also have a standing order to replenish supplies.

Professional Hospital Supply
Sterile and Non-Sterile Custom Packs

PHS Custom Packaging is a leader in the manufacture of sterile and non-sterile custom packs. PHS offers the highest level of control over a facility’s custom packs.

Unlike many other pack manufacturers, PHS does not manufacture the components that are used in the packs. This allows the flexibility to include the pack components a facility’s staff desires and eliminates a hidden agenda to increase profits by including self-manufactured components. An additional benefit of being independent is that PHS does not compete with the component suppliers; consequently, PHS receives a higher level of cooperation from manufacturers. PHS has designed its assembly process to produce the highest quality packs available, including quality control checks to guarantee consistency. PHS builds trays in small batches with components being inspected and counted prior to assembly ensuring that each tray is completely accurate. PHS’ state of the art facility is used strictly for raw materials storage and pack assembly, integrating the latest technology; radio frequency computers in the warehouse, automated carousel picking, computerized tracking of the production process, and digital imaging of all components and kits. PHS can make these images available to hospital staff via a secure website. PHS’ concept of tray production is one of no surprises. Hospital staff are always in control of the process and the products they are using. In the event of the extended unavailability of a component from a manufacturer, PHS will provide hospital staff with substitute products for their review and approval prior to production. Wherever appropriate, PHS will work with hospital staff to develop pre-approved substitution lists in order to expedite this process. The customer pack program is supported by PHS’ clinician-focused Product Specialists. In addition to this highly specialized group, the clinical support staff works side by side with PHS’account managers and hospital end users.
